Why I Chose Korean Skincare?
When I created Vanadis, I really wanted to combine effective products and massage. Korean skincare stood out to me because of its unique approach, innovative formulas, and special ingredients. Here’s why I love using it in my treatments:
Prevention : Korean skincare is all about taking care of your skin long-term, focusing on prevention rather than quick fixes. It helps you maintain healthy skin and age gracefully.
Gentle Approach : Korean skincare always keeps the skin barrier in mind, and I totally agree with this approach. A healthy skin barrier is the key to good skin, and without it, you won’t see the best results.
Unique Ingredients : Korean skincare blends traditional ingredients with modern ones. I particularly love plant-based and marine ingredients like Cica, Hippophae Rhamnoides, and Spicules, which help soothe and support the skin.
Formulations and Innovation : Korean brands are always looking for ways to improve their products. I’m a big fan of their delivery systems, like microcapsules and hydrogel masks (which pair so well with my massages!). The textures are light, and the products absorb easily. They’ve also brought us some of the best innovations, like peeling pads ( Dermathod's are my absolute favourite ) and sheet masks!
Adaptability : One of the best things about Korean skincare is its flexibility. I can easily customize treatments, mix in techniques like massage and nanoneedling, and combine products for a totally personalized experience. Each treatment feels fresh and unique!
What is the Korean Custom Facial?
Each Korean Ritual starts with a little chat about your skin. We’ll talk about your skin’s needs and how it’s been since your last visit, and I’ll take a close look at it.
Then, we do a gentle cleanse, followed by the treatment, all combined with a relaxing massage (neck, shoulders, face, and scalp). Depending on the treatment, I might also include your hands or feet. Every session is completely unique and personalized!
The length of your treatment will determine how much time we spend on the massage or how many techniques we use. For example, during a 1h30 session, we can do both Carboxy and V-Tox together, or combine Carboxy with a 1-hour massage.
The Different Treatment Options:
I’ll keep this list updated as the salon evolves, and I add new treatments based on your needs.
A quick note: the Spicule Peel (Green Sea Peel) isn’t part of the Korean rituals since it requires special prep, but I’ll share more about it in another post.
Carboxy Therapy : This oxygenating treatment helps improve circulation, brighten skin, and boost texture. It's perfect for dehydrated, or tired skin. The treatment includes a carbon dioxide gel and mask, which together create the Bohr Effect, releasing oxygen in your skin to help rejuvenate it.
V-Tox (Facelift in a Bottle) : KRX’s V-Tox is great for instantly lifting the skin. I love pairing it with a lifting massage for even better results. This peptide-packed formula improves blood flow, delivers nutrients, and supports collagen production. For best results, I recommend a series of three treatments, spaced two weeks apart.
Inflacure "Rescue SKIN" : A healing treatment with Chlorophyll and botanicals, perfect for soothing inflammation. It works wonders for conditions like eczema, rosacea, dermatitis, psoriasis, and even burns. I often combine it with red light therapy and a relaxing foot or hand massage. It's ideal for repairing a damaged skin barrier.
Anti-Dark Spot Treatment : This treatment targets dark spots and pigmentation with exfoliation and the HD EXO LLT PRO TRI FILLS Solution Exosomes Gold ampoule. The ampoule uses advanced technology to deliver powerful ingredients deep into the skin, helping to even out skin tone and reduce pigmentation.
Custom Korean Peels : Depending on your needs, I can add specific peels to your treatment, such as the Blue Peel (with Glycolic, Lactic, Tartaric, Citric, and Salicylic acids), Clear Peel (Salicylic acid), or Glow Peel (Glycolic acid).
First Visit?
For your first visit, I recommend booking a consultation and a bespoke treatment. It’s important for me to learn about your skin journey, goals, and expectations before we begin any treatment. If there’s a specific treatment you’re curious about, feel free to mention it when you book, and I’ll tailor the session just for you!
The consultation lasts 30 minutes, followed by a 1-hour treatment. If you’d like a longer treatment on your first visit, just let me know via email or WhatsApp, and we can arrange that.
I can’t wait to share my passion for skincare and the Korean approach with you soon!
